So many records, so little time, time being the key factor.  You can spend hundreds of hours working on your tree. No lie. Genealogy research takes time not just in hours, but in duration.  Historical Societies especially, have limited hours as they often operate only with volunteers. You find they are not open and available on the day you can scheduled the visit.  Then you wait.  Sometimes you wait for more online records to become available. It is a mix of actual hours stretched out over long durations. It is all a part of the research process.
